1. Who We Are

This Privacy Policy describes how Nowaffl LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company with its registered address at 30 N Gould St Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA ("ChillDog", "we", "us", or "our"), collects, uses, and shares personal information when you use the ChillDog mobile application and the chilldog.app website (together, the "Service"). The Service is offered to users in the United States.

2. Information We Collect

Account information. When you sign up, we collect your name and email address, and we assign you an account identifier through Firebase Authentication. This is the only profile information we store about you.

Dog profile and conversations. Information you provide about your dog (such as name, breed, age, and behavior details) and the messages you exchange with the AI coach, including training plans and progress you log.

Purchase information. When you subscribe through the Apple App Store or Google Play, we receive subscription status and purchase history through RevenueCat, tied to a pseudonymous identifier. Payments are processed entirely by Apple or Google; we never receive your payment card details.

Usage and device information. We collect app interaction events, device type, operating system, app version, language, and approximate region through PostHog analytics. In the app, these events are linked to your account identifier. We do not record your screen in the app.

Crash and error reports. If the app encounters an error, we collect crash and error reports through Sentry, including device type, operating system, app version, and technical details about what went wrong.

Website visitors. When you visit chilldog.app, our hosting and security provider Cloudflare processes your IP address and request logs to serve and protect the site. We also use PostHog on the website to collect page events and session replays that record how visitors interact with pages, and we use cookies as described in our Cookie Policy.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to: provide and personalize the Service, including generating AI coaching responses and training plans; create and manage your account; process and manage subscriptions; understand how the Service is used and improve it; ensure security, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy; communicate with you about the Service; and comply with legal obligations.

Communications. With your consent, we send you a weekly email about your training progress and tips, and we send push notifications and reminder emails to help you stay consistent with your training plan. You can opt out of these emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email, and you can turn off push notifications in your device settings. We will still send you essential messages about your account, such as security or billing notices.

We do not use your information for third-party advertising, and we do not sell it.

4. AI Processing of Your Conversations

To generate coaching responses, your messages and relevant dog profile details are sent to third-party AI model providers that process them on our behalf. These providers are contractually restricted from using your data for any purpose other than providing the service to us, and we do not permit them to use your conversations to train their models.

We may use de-identified and aggregated conversation data to evaluate and improve the quality and safety of the Service. Content flagged by our safety systems or reported by users may be reviewed to enforce our policies and improve safeguards.

5. How We Share Information

We share personal information only with service providers that process it on our behalf under data protection agreements: Google Firebase (authentication and backend infrastructure), third-party AI model providers (generating coaching responses), RevenueCat (subscription management), PostHog (product analytics), Sentry (error and crash monitoring), and Cloudflare (hosting, networking, and security).

We may also disclose information if required by law or legal process, to protect the rights, safety, or property of ChillDog, our users, or others, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case this Policy will continue to apply to your information until you are notified otherwise.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

6. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on servers located in the United States. We protect it with industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and reliance on audited infrastructure providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Retention

We keep your account information, dog profile, and conversations for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal data is deleted from live systems within 30 days and from backups within 180 days. Pseudonymous analytics and purchase records are retained only as long as needed for the purposes described above, and we may retain limited information where necessary for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.

8. Deleting Your Account and Data

You can delete your account and associated data at any time directly in the app: open Settings and choose Delete Account. This permanently deletes your account, dog profile, and conversation history.

You can also request deletion without reinstalling the app by emailing [email protected] from the email address linked to your account. We will process the request within 30 days.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your state of residence, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to access a copy of it, to correct it, and to delete it. We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of in that respect. We will never discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our response, and we will review your appeal. Our website honors Global Privacy Control signals.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If we learn that a child under 13 has provided us personal information, we will delete it and the associated account. If you believe a child under 13 is using the Service, contact us at [email protected].

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If a change is material, we will notify you in the app or by email before it takes effect. The date of the latest version is shown at the top of this page.
